After receiving your documents, we assess your experience and qualifications in relation to the current project. If there is a match, we will contact you to request any additional information.

We then review the cooperation terms together (scope of work, location, remuneration, start date, and project duration). Once agreed, we prepare the contract and ensure all necessary formalities are completed before deployment.

To work abroad, you will need a valid ID card (within the EU) or passport, a European Health Insurance Card, and most importantly the A1 form issued by the Social Insurance Agency, confirming that your social contributions are paid in Slovakia.

You must also have a valid trade license and a contract with a foreign partner. In some countries, additional registration or notification obligations may apply before starting work.

The A1 form confirms that during your work abroad you remain subject to Slovak social security legislation and are not required to pay contributions in the host country. It is issued based on a signed contract.

To obtain an A1 certificate as a self-employed person, you must have an active and properly registered trade license in Slovakia and demonstrate that you have been conducting business prior to deployment (usually at least 2 months, or by having issued invoices in Slovakia).

Your activity abroad must be temporary (typically up to 24 months), and you must continue maintaining your business activities in Slovakia. All social insurance contributions must be duly paid.

The A1 application is submitted to the Slovak Social Insurance Agency — preferably electronically via the Slovensko.sk portal or the official e-Form, or in paper form at the relevant branch office.

The standard processing time is up to 45 days from submission of a complete application.
